Here are a few of my favourite things…
Diabetes Technology
Dexcom G6 system (check out my Dexcom guide & review here!)
Tandem T:Slim X2 pump (Check out my How to Pick The Right Pump Guide and my review of the T:Slim X2 pump!)
Diabetes Supplies (most of my supplies are purchased through Diabetes Express Pharmacy)
Infusion sites: T:Lock Autosoft 90 Infusion Set in grey (also comes in pink and blue if you want to be fun!)
Pump cartridges: Tandem T:Lock Cartridges
Alcohol swabs: BD Alcohol Swabs
Adhesive removal: Smith&Nephew Adhesive Remover Wipes (I use these for when I take off my Dexcom, not my pump infusion sites)
Insulin pen needle tips (as back-ups when traveling): BD Ultrafine 3 Nano Pen Needle
Lancets: Bayer Microlet Lancets (they come in fun colours!)
Syringes (as back-ups in case my pump stops working or I want to take a break for a few days): BD Ultrafine 2 Syringe, 1 CC 8mm
Low Blood Sugar Supplies
Rockets (my go-to low treatment!)
Dex 4 Glucose Tabs (I prefer the Rockets over these as they are cheaper and easier to carry, but I used Dex 4 for many years and they worked well)
Grapefruit/fruit juice boxes
Glucagon: Baqsimi nasal powder OR GlucaGen hypokit (traditional glucagon)
Diabetes Accessories
Frio Insulin Cooling Wallet (to keep insulin cool when traveling)
Dexcom G6 Skin Grip (I use this to help secure my CGM if I know I’ll be very active or around water, but not all the time as they are a little pricey and I find they can irritate my skin)
Diabetes supply cases: Myabetic (I had one of these cases throughout college when I needed to carry my PDM as part of my Omni-Pod pump and it was great. I wish these were around when I was a kid!)
Pimp my Diabetes: a fun store with lots of stickers, ID bracelets, and diabetes accessories
Lauren’s Hope Medical Alert IDs (I got this one, and while I don’t wear it daily—sorry mom!—I do like to have it as a stylish option when traveling, etc. Check out my guide to determine whether wearing a medical alert bracelet is the right choice for you.)
